A new gadget appears on the side bar titled "52 Weeks-52 Cards of Kindness. (You may have to scroll down, it is under the St. Helena's On-line Links.) Each week beginning November 7, you will find a new random, or should I say 'shuffled', act of Kindness posted based on a deck of cards. See how many you can do! You can use this as a service project by logging each on one piece of paper. In order for this to be counted as service, you must do at least 40 of the 52 acts of kindness. Why 40? Well, it is an important number in the Bible for one...it rained for 40 days and nights, the Israelites wandered for 40 years after the Exodus, Moses was on the mountain for 40 days, the people of Ninevah repented for 40 days to save their city, Jesus spent 40 days in the dessert, Jesus was on earth for 40 days after he died before he ascended into heaven...40 signifies a period of testing. So, you will do 40 "tests" to strengthen your faith and bring goodness to others! Also, I chose 40 because none of these acts of kindness are difficult in and of themselves, but as you do many you will find the time accumulates and your faith will grow!
A log sheet for the 40 Acts of Kindness for Service can be found in the tab above. This is one service project...it isn't hard, but it does make a difference. You have the power to make a difference!
